- Ginkgolic acid is an organic compound naturally found in Ginkgo biloba leaves, seeds and trees and may lead to higher risks of toxicity in large amounts. Standardized GBE should have limited amounts of ginkgolic acids to 5 ppm or less. However, Thomson Activated Ginkgo, in fact, contains less than 1 ppm of ginkgolic acid, delivering these benefits without the risks of higher ginkgolic acid levels.

Dosage
Initial dosage:
- 3 tablets twice daily. To be taken after meals.
Maintenance dosage:
- 3 to 6 tablets daily in divided doses. To be taken after meals.

- Patients with bleeding tendency, concomitant use of anti-coagulant and/or anti-platelet agents, pregnancy and breastfeeding, hypersensitivity to Ginkgo biloba preparations.
